Faalor

Faalorian Elves

Faalor elves are a fading breed.  Their wealth, power and culture has been in swift decline for nearly a thousand years, due to the ravages of orc, dragon and the advance of humankind. Elves first came to Faalor well over 10,000 years ago and built an impressive civilization.  Major elven cities dotted the landscape.  Then the war with the orcs and dragon reduced almost of them to smoking rubble.  Many elves began to create elaborate homes underground to defend themselves against the dragonfire, but those in turn were breeched by orcs and are now home to Splurgorths and worse.  The last great elven city standing when Teussian raiders came to Faalor was the city of Faalor, but that was ravaged by orcs during the War of Betrayal.

Elves now find themselves pushed deep into the Faewood.  Faalorian elves gravitate toward one of two major factions, the Elven Court and the Talmakh.  The Elven Court represents the elven values of peace, knowledge and balance with nature, while the Talmakh are arrogant, violent and xenophobic.  PC elves can be of either faction.  Because elves are grossly mistrusted in Faalor, special care must be taken if you choose to play one.

Faalorian elves are usually a head shorter than humans and have long, pointed ears.  Their skin color is in greyish in tone and grows increasingly dark as they progress in years.  Elves can live for a considerably long time; most humans see them as immortal, but this is not exactly true.  An elf will almost never die of natural causes.  Natural disease is unheard of for elves.
